France-Laude

France-Laude Gohard is a Nia 2nd Degree Black Belt and a Nia International Trainer currently residing in Marin County. She was born and raised in Paris, France. At the age of 23, she moved to the USA on a journey of self discovery leaving a professional path in the medical field behind.

In 1989 she met Debbie & Carlos Rosas and started her first Nia Intensive training. Through this training, France-Laude reconnected with dance and movement as a path of joy, self-expression, creativity and healing. Nia became her passion and her journey began...

A few years later, France-Laude became one of the first Nia Trainers and later, one of the first Nia International Trainers offering the Nia White Belt and Green Belt Training in the USA, Italy & France.

France-Laude’s study in somatic education includes Modern Dance, Aikido, Authentic Movement and many healing and dance modalities such as the Hawkins Technique and Jose Limon. Her Nia practice is profoundly influenced by the work of "Conscious Embodiment" developed by Aikido teacher, Wendy Palmer.
